Hi there friends. Nate and I have been faithfully taking our 365 photos, of course, but I haven’t been getting around to uploading them quite as faithfully! Oops! So now you just get a handful all at once. =) Hope you don’t mind!

169/365 Days of Marriage
Day 169 of 365 Days of Marriage

Friday was a much better day than Thursday. I still wasn’t feeling fabulous but I went back to work and got through the day. Nate and I curled up on the couch to watch V For Vendetta (it was on TV) and I snapped this picture during the movie. A word about that movie? I don’t like it. I understand the need for the details but I don’t like V and his creepy mask, I don’t like seeing Natalie Portman’s shaved head, and I don’t like the weird and creepy romance between the two of them. I know someone will tell me that I’m missing the point but I just don’t like it. Ha.

Day 170 of 365 Days of Marriage

This was not our intended 365 photo, however- Saturday was crazy and one of my typical in-car photos had to stand in. *cringe* I hate this because I’m trying to be really creative and make a serious effort with our 365. We were on our way out of town to visit my Sister-In-Law for our nephew’s 4th birthday when I took this. I was being a crazy camera lady and trying to take pictures of the gorgeous Autumn scenery, from the moving car, and then getting angry that they weren’t turning out amazing. I do this on almost every trip we take that lasts longer than 30 minutes (try to take photos from the moving vehicle expecting magical results). We spent the day in Somerset, came home, and ended up over at Jackson and Kristie’s for a nice evening by the fire. Good Saturday overall, minus the terrible UK football beatdown.

Day 171 of 365 Days of Marriage

Sunday was spent mostly at home with Nate checking on me periodically later in the evening.. as I whined from the couch. I started feeling sore throat/fever sick so we just stuck around the house all day. We decided to clean out the garage and finally drug all of the giant boxes we’ve been collecting over to the dumpster on the street behind our house. When I sprayed for bugs a few weeks back I did spray in the garage, but I just sprayed around/over all of the crap lining the walls- shoes, tools, boxes, CRAP. This method worked a little, but not entirely! We didn’t see any spiders for a good long while and then BAM, the biggest one I’ve seen yet came running across the carpet Thursday or Friday night. Up until then I was scared of them but I would kill them or at lesat attempt to- I could look at the spiders that had come into our house thus far- NOT THAT ONE. I almost passed out on sight. I knew it was because I half-assed the spray job on the garage, so we got out there and went to work! We cleaned, threw away, swept, and found a few more mutant spider friends that nearly gave me heart attacks, and I sprayed that garage so well that no bug will ever set foot in it again. (until it’s time to spray again..) I stayed outside all evening cleaning out my car as well.. when I’m cleaning I forget that I feel awful.

Day 172 of 365 Days of Marriage

Monday was lame. I felt sick but I went to work. Nate and I engaged in our nightly ritual of watching TV while he lays his head in my lap. The only good thing about that day? I had Chipotle for dinner!

173/365 Days of Marriage
Day 173 of 365 Days of Marriage

After I got home from work Tuesday night we went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings as a sort of last hoorah to our terrible spending habits. We don’t buy a lot of stuff, but we like our food. We just so enjoy going out and having a relaxing dinner, and it can seem kind of minimal- but it sure adds up! So after we got home we discussed the budget while cuddling on the couch.

174/365 Days of Marriage
Day 174 of 365 Days of Marriage

Today was pretty good day. My work day went quickly and we enjoyed dinner with Nate’s family over at his parents house. His dad was out of town on a business trip so we hung out with his mom, sister, and our nephew and nieces. Too much yummy food was had so we came home and worked it off! Nate ran 7 miles .. and I.. put 30 minutes in on the Wii Fit. Don’t judge me!!! But no really, I’m trying to do little things to start off. I know that I have no desire to run like Nate does, but I want to start working out again regularly and just doing simple exercises that I can do at home to start.

Last night? Awesome. We went out pretty early in the evening with a few friends to Pazzo’s for pint night. The beer on draught for pint night was Spaten Oktoberfest- a favorite for this time of year- and we got to keep the ridiculously awesome glasses that it came in. Pretty much all of our glasses that we have came from Pazzo’s for pint night.. but none of them have been quite this monstrous! I think we may need to give these babies their own separate cabinet, because they aren’t going to fit into our regular glass/cup cabinet! We got home fairly early still, and went to bed.. but I wasn’t feeling well. I didn’t drink much, but my stomach was clearly angry about something and I stayed up most of the night.. :\

167/365 Days of Marriage
Day 167 of 365 Days of Marriage

Today was not awesome. I woke up feeling down right terrible because I didn’t get much sleep. I think the lack of sleep was the biggest issue, but my stomach still felt pretty crappy. So I called out of work for the first time since the beginning of the year and felt horrible about it. I hate calling out and I hate thinking about who’s going to have to do my jobs while I’m gone. Ugh. I continued to feel pretty gross all day and didn’t manage to shower until late afternoon. Nate and I had dinner and afterward he could tell I was feeling a bit better so he took me out to get some Orange Leaf froyo to cheer me up a little. We came right back and ate it at home to watch some TV and get ready for bed. I hope I feel 100% better tomorrow afternoon.

168/365 Days of Marriage
Day 168 of 365 Days of Marriage

My Mom called me not too long ago to let me know that my cousin Garrett has been in a horrible car accident. He’s currently in a coma and has many, many broken bones. They’ve had to drill holes into his skull to relieve the pressure from the swelling and it’s kind of a wait and see thing right now. They just don’t know how much brain damage he has, and now we wait. It’s surreal to me. I grew up with him. We were close, and he was the only one of his siblings that made an effort to come to my wedding. My heart is so heavy thinking about this right now. His little brother, Nicholas, passed away from Muscular Dystrophy not too long ago and I just can’t fathom my Uncle Gary having to go through this. Praying for good news..

Caleb, Garrett, and Whitley with my Grandaddy. Miss my Grandaddy & Grandma so much.

Today shaped up to be quite a warm little afternoon and evening. I got off of work earlier than normal (4:30pm compared to 7pm!) and Nate and I both made it home from work at about the same time. He went for a run, and I? Well I took outfit photos of course. But you’ll have to wait a bit to see those! I wore the completely opposite type of outfit to work because I dressed for the cooler weather that we’ve been having- leggings, a pair of boots, and a long sleeve dress, with a slouchy knitted hat. I was practically hanging my head out the window on my way home from work (my AC isn’t working). I’m loving the last little bit of warm temps, or trying to .. because I know I will be missing them soon enough. Guess I’ll have to start paying more attention to the high vs the current temperature when I’m leaving for work so that I can dress accordingly!

166/365 Days of Marriage
(Day 166 of 365 Days of Marriage)

Nate and I decided to grill out and have hamburgers for dinner since it was so nice out. I traipsed around the yard while he cooked burgers and made him kiss me between burger flipping. ;] We enjoyed our meal, let one of the bunnies out to romp around a bit, and have been enjoying some TV since. I need to try to get to bed early tonight because I’m still struggling like crazy with waking up for work a bit earlier. I am just so exhausted lately! Goodnight!

My poor husband is doomed to watch girly television with me. While he absolutely refuses ridiculous TV like Jersey Shore (I save terrible train wreck TV for a girl night now and then..) he has always quietly obliged and maybe even gotten a little attached to shows like Gilmore Girls. ;] Hart of Dixie is a new series starring Rachel Bilson as Zoey Hart, a doctor who moves from New York to Alabama after she inherits a local medical practice. It’s a fun (slightly irritating show where I yell at the TV- we’re only on the 2nd episode!) little show about trying to fit in and make a difference. Nate and I used to watch The OC together pretty religiously, so I’d probably watch anything with Rachel Bilson in it because Summer was my favorite character- but a show with my maiden name in the title? That was too easy to love! I already hate one of the characters though and I hope she gets hit by a bus. =D

Then of course tomorrow night The New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel, comes on! It’s no more life changing than Hart of Dixie, but it’s another quirky little show that I enjoy spending 30 minutes on. If you know me well, then you know that it’s really rare that I actually get in to a show because I never remember when it comes on or when to record it. But these two shows have made it in to my weekly routine pretty seamlessly and I intend to watch every episode of both! (Read: Nate reminds me when my shows come on..)

Well, it’s way past my bedtime! Make sure to pop on in to the blog in the morning – a new outfit post will be going up and I’ll be sharing something that I’m pretty excited to tell you all about!!
