Welcome to another Christmas in the Hargis household! All of our signature decor is in place – peacock wedding decorations, glitter snowflake garland, and tiny light up Christmas houses. Oh, and don’t forget the Biscuit ornament! We definitely need to try and find an ornament that looks like Freckles so he wont feel left out! They’re both pretty ecstatic about Christmas time ya know. Extra electrical cords to nom on = a happy bunny heart. You know what it equals for me? Panic attacks. AND SO, when bunnies are playing we disassemble all cords and put them high off the ground. //deep breaths//

Have a great weekend!!

PS: Should I start vlogging regularly? This is a question I continue to go back and forth on!

Sunday was a relaxing day. We had lunch at Five Guys, ran a few errands, and ate dinner over at my In-law’s house. While Nate was taking a nap I decided to run around the house taking pictures. I haven’t included the bunnies in any photos in a long time – so I thought they could say hello! Biscuit will agree to being picked up, but Freckles will not have it. It’s really hard to get Freckles to stay still long enough to even have his photo taken! So that’s why Biscuit gets the fun pictures and Freckles is just standing there in his cage. Ha!

On our way home from dinner Nate and I decided to take a back country road leading away from our house instead of turning to go home. We’d never been down that road and wondered where it went. We ran across a few places that I’d heard of but never quite knew where they were, and stopped off at the most beautiful look out point! Ah, there is nothing better than cruising through the winding roads of Kentucky, gazing out at the rolling hills, and feeling the cool breeze rip by! We ended up with the tiniest bridge straight ahead – a ONE LANE bridge. Eep! I distracted myself by taking pictures while we crossed. The bigger bridge pictured below goes over the Kentucky river, and after seeing it from underneath – I never realized just how high it was!

Do you ever just have a simply great weekend that you wish would go on forever? That is what this weekend has been to me! Today in particular was just perfect. Unfortunately, Nate felt pretty under the weather and stayed on the couch most of the day. I wish he’d have been able to go about town with me, but I was off doing things he really doesn’t have a lot of interest in anyway! I’m usually so attached to other people, but I’m getting so much better about just going and doing my own thing! I even went to Zumba by myself yesterday, which is huge. I’m making myself sound crazy but going and trying new things by myself has just never been my thing! I hope someone else can identify with that so I feel less silly.

I wore this comfy outfit because I knew that I wanted to head over to the Peddler’s Mall after I ran a few errands. It’s was in the 50′s today and just a gorgeous day overall. I found this sweater at The GAP last weekend for a steal and if I didn’t have to wash it I would probably wear it ever day. I’m not kidding. It’s the comfiest thing I’ve ever worn. My Blowfish boots matched perfect. This was the first time I’ve ever worn them folded down and I loved the way the exposed fur looked with this outfit.

My Mother-in-law gave me this table a little while back and I decided it’d look pretty in the corner with a few knick-knacks on it. I picked up the gorgeous painted cup at Coldwater Creek for roughly $3 last weekend. Isn’t it lovely? The peacock is from our wedding decor, the LOVE cups via Urban Outfitters, the little nesting doll from a keychain that I found, the LOVE ornament a gift from Jackson & Kristie, and a piece of my green VW bug piggy bank from my Mom & Step-Dad. I have a lot of little things and this is a great way to display them! We also purchased a rug that matches our couch perfectly yesterday at Marshall’s – you can see it under my furry shoes!

I invited my Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Erin, to meet me at the Peddler’s Mall. It’s been a while since I’ve been in there and to be honest I never go expecting to find much of anything. I think Erin saw the turn table first and called me over. It was love at first sight.

I can feel my living room finally coming together. It’s such a great feeling. Owning a house and slowly making it your own is so rewarding. Waiting on the perfect piece to fit a space. Ahhh, I just love it! The record player needs a little bit of work but it’s completely fixable, and even if it wasn’t? I was going to buy a particle board piece of crap from Target to fit in that space that cost more than this beautiful solid wood vintage turn table. I think I made the better choice!

Now I’m off to put away what is left of the delicious slow cooker pot roast we had for dinner and to cuddle on the couch with Nate. Maybe I’ll even take a bubble bath and read a little bit of my book. =) I so wish I had just one more day to add to this weekend!

Today after Nate got back from his trip to New Orleans with Jackson and Daniel we went out and had a yummy dinner/lunch at Cheddar’s and stopped in to Michael’s to pick up his map that we’ve been wanting to frame for about two years now!

164/365 Days of Marriage
(Day 164 of 365 Days of Marriage – follow us at 365 Days of Marriage on Tumblr!)

We sent it off two weeks ago and it was all ready for pick up today. When we bought this house we had a small idea that it would go in the cut out blank area in our living room, but we weren’t quite sure. After seeing this piece of furniture at Target, the whole vision came together. Nate suggested that we put the cube organizer below the map with photo albums labeled from our travels. I love this idea, and I can’t wait to get the organizer and the cute baskets!

We’ve spent all night pinning our travels, but didn’t get finished. The white pins are for our trips together, the yellow are for mine, the green for his, and the blue are for all University of Kentucky related traveling (like his trip to New Orleans!). I can’t wait to be able to pin more places together!

Have you seen something similar to this done before? I’d love to see other maps with pinned travels! =)

(PS: We’ve started our 365 again! Hooray!)
